5/1/24 in The Beginning

I didn’t realize my last entry was all the way back in February. The days just seem to collide together into one continuous cycle and I lose track easily of the days. Especially when it comes to remembering the last time I posted online. Here’s to hoping that I can remember and start to getting in the habit of posting on here again, especially since my semester just finished up yesterday.
A few days after my last post on here, I bought myself a little camera. A Sony DSC-S75 from 2001/02. Despite its age it holds up well and it was cheap, which is the main reason why I bought it (as a broke college student). I’ve wanted to get into photography for the last few years now, so I’m glad I bit the bullet and decided to do so because I’m enjoying it quite a lot. I hope that next semester I’ll be good enough to start taking street photography (especially of people), that’s my favorite sort of photography. But for the last two months I’ve just been taking nature photos around campus and by the water. It’s a good way to practice and get familiar with the workings of the camera, lighting, focusing on subjects, etc.
